After several years of serving the community, this service has come to an end. Discord has taken steps to shut down our platform, alongside similar identification utilities, citing violations of their Developer Terms – specifically sections related to automated data collection and API usage.
While these policies have technically been in place for quite some time, enforcement has been inconsistent until now. It appears that Discord has shifted their stance and begun actively targeting projects like ours.
Given this decisive action from Discord, we've made the choice to sunset this project entirely. There's little point in continuing when the platform owner has made their position abundantly clear.
We attempted to work with Discord to find a path forward. Unfortunately, our request was rejected with a standard template response, showing no interest in dialogue or compromise.
It's unfortunate to witness the deteriorating relationship between Discord and the independent developer community. Many users are now questioning whether Discord remains a viable platform to build upon.
Unfortunately, Discord started terminating user accounts which volunteered to help maintain this service by donating tokens. This unprecedented step leaves us no choice but to cease operations. Please appeal any terminations and spread the word on social media.
